A Secondary school’s IT Network manager left the school leaving two IT staff without a manager, on-going projects with no technical lead and a busy IT department in need of help.
LCS assessed the situation, gave strategic advice to the Senior Leadership team, took over the technical lead role for the on-going projects and trained and worked with the in-house IT Team to help them to develop and take on more in-house.
A “temporary” on-going support package was put in place whilst the school recruited a new Network Manager, however the school were so happy with the work carried out by LCS that five years further down the line, this “temporary” solution is still in place as a replacement Network Manager is not needed. LCS continues to support, guide and advise the school, as well as develop the in-house staff, all for an overall package costing far less than the cost of a full-time, in-house Network Manager.
